Day 1: Beautiful Bahia

Salvador de Bahia

After flying over the beautiful coastline of Bahia in Brazil's north-east, you'll arrive in Salvador de Bahia, the first capital of Brazil. Upon arrival you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel before being taken on an afternoon tour of the city. The tour begins near the bay in the streets of the lower city before reaching the Lacerda Elevator. Show more

Day 2: Inland to the mountains of Chapada

Salvador to Lençóis

After breakfast you'll be collected from your hotel in Salvador for the journey to Lençóis. Traveler Service passengers will have a group transfer, whereas those in Premium Service will make the journey by private car. The road west from Salvador passes through the flat, dry lands of the Sertao, Brazil's desert interior, to the old diamond mining town of Lençóis. Show more

Day 3: The Caves of Diamantina

Chapada Diamantina National Park

After breakfast at your hotel you'll be collected for your tour, beginning with a visit to Iraquara. Iraquara is known as the City of Caves and is home to some of the most impressive caves and underground rivers in the park. Your guide will show you around Lapa Doce cave, pointing out various rock formations and stalagmites. Show more

Day 4: Waterfalls and mountain views

Chapada Diamantina National Park

On your second day in the Chapada Diamantina National Park you'll take a guided trek to the top of Cachoeira de Fumaca - Smoke Waterfall so named due to the fine mist that the water creates as it falls. After breakfast youll travel by car to Capão Valley from where you'll start your trek along a 2km path that winds up to the flat top of Serra do Sincora. The views across the valley and to the other mountains are stunning. Show more

Day 5: Island beaches

Lençóis to Morro de São Paulo

Today you will have an early transfer to Salvador for your boat journey to the town of Morro de São Paulo on Tinhare Island. Traveler Service passengers will have a group transfer, whereas those in Premium Service will make the journey by private car. Tinhare Island is off of the coast of Salvador de Bahia and after your schooner crossing you'll walk the short distance from the pier to your hotel in the town. Show more

Day 6: The Beaches of Tinhare

Morro do Sao Paulo

Today is free for you to enjoy the island and its many miles of beautiful beaches, some of them almost completely deserted. The town's central plaza and the streets surrounding it are lined with restaurants, bars and boutiques, and the beaches become progressively longer and quieter the further away from the town you go. Primeira (1st) and Segunda (2nd) beaches are smaller and busier, with people sunbathing, surfing and swimming in the tidal pools, and bars and restaurants fronting the beach. Show more

Day 7: Bahian waters

Morro do Sao Paulo

Your leisurely days on Tinhare allow you to explore more of the island. Either walking or horse-riding along the miles of quiet beaches, or perhaps taking a boat trip tour to visit the tidal pools at Garapuá to the south of the island. Here you can enjoy a drink at the floating bar after snorkeling amongst the colorful tropical fish and coral reefs. Show more

Day 8: Just relax

Morro do Sao Paulo

There are of course plenty of activities that you can do on Morro, but the most popular of all is simply relaxing on the beach. While being surrounded by such natural beauty and the laid back pace of island life, we suggest that you take to the beach and relax before your journey back home. Day 9: Back to the mainland

Morro do Sao Paulo to Salvador and away

Today you will take the boat back from Morro de São Paulo to Salvador de Bahia where you will be transferred either to the airport or to your hotel. If you choose to stay in Salvador tonight you could take the opportunity to catch some live music in one of the Pelourinho neighborhood bars and dine Bahian style in one of the city's many restaurants.
