Day 9: Exploring on horseback
Around Tamarindo
Today you will have the morning to relax, either on the beach or at your hotel. If you’d like to take a surfing lesson, go snorkeling, scuba diving, jet-skiing, kayaking, golfing or sailing, all of this can easily be arranged. Bicycles, beach gear, surfboards and boogie boards are all available for rent in the village.
Show more In the afternoon you’ll take a horse-riding trek through the dry-tropical forest of the Guanacaste lowlands. It’s a gentle two-hour ride taking you along forest and mountain trails, to look-out points and across beaches, and is suitable for complete beginners. Along the way you’ll be able to spot a wide range of wildlife, including howler monkeys, iguanas and pelicans. You’ll head back to town as the sun sets and the evening is free for you to relax and enjoy a seafood dinner in one of the local restaurants. (Meals B)
