Travel to Peru and discover adventure with the Choquequirao Trail to Machu Picchu. Choquequirao means “cradle of gold” in Quechua and is often referred to as the Sister City to Machu Picchu. It is quite possible that the last Inca – Tupac Amaru – was raised at this site among Inca Priestesses and royalty. Our Choququirao trail takes you from Cusco, through to Tarawasi, onto to Choquequirao, and finally to Machu Picchu.
On route you pass through a number of remarkable landscapes as you meander your way along the Apurimac River, into lush tropical forests, through various archeological sites and Inca ruins, and past thermal baths. The Choquequirao trek is off the beaten trail and is bound to leave you with a number of stirring memories of the magic and beauty of Peru. Class Adventure Travel invites you to travel to Peru and experience the beauty of this incredible country.

As ancient as the mysterious ruins that lay at its end, the Inca Trail was originally created as a passage for the high priests and Inca royalty between Cusco and Machu Picchu. Inca Ruins mark the way, and as the trail continues these ruins increase in frequency, size, and what I like to refer to as 'jaw slackening wonder'. On the final day of the Inca Trail you arrive at Machu Picchu as the sun rises. Through the mist, rays of bright orange sunlight shine upon the ancient ruins - revealing the majesty of the lost citadel in all of her glory. The Inca Trail is a once in a life time experience and if you ever have the chance to go, it is not only recommendable – but mandatory.
