Experience Peru Adventure and Behold the Slendor of the Salcantay Trail. The name Salcantay means Savage Mountain in Quechwa and is perfect for those adventurers seeking a quieter alternative to the Classic Inca Trail. The paths of the Salcantay Trail are far less trodden and the sites and sounds you witness as you pass through the mountains of the Cordillera Vilcabamba are both extraordinary and breathtaking. The trail takes seven days, is located to the northwest of Cusco and passes through snowcapped peaks as well as through lush tropical cloud forests. The first 4 days lead you into the heart of the Peruvian wilderness and only on the 5th day does the trail meet up with the classic Inca Trail route before continuing on to Machu Picchu. If adventure and breathtaking beauty are what you’re after than this “off the beaten” trail is the one for you. Class Adventure Travel invites you to travel to Peru and experience the beauty of this incredible country. |
