Overview
A luxury ship will take you on an exciting cruise along the Negro and Amazon rivers with all the comfort and excellent service. The adventure begins in the city of Manaus, capital of Amazonas, famous fot its spectacular Opera House, designated as Brazilian historical heritage. Departing from Manaus, the Iberostar Grand Amazon stops at several points along the amazing Amazon jungle, and offers excursions on small boats to explore the dense, virgin vegetation. You and other adventure seekers will come into contact with the most exhuberant species of trees, plants, exotic animals and the local river communities, friendly and hospitable people. A paradise for those who like adventure with all the comfort of a five star hotel.
Accommodations - 72 cabins placed in three decks, Mandi, Acará and Tambaqui (23m2) plus 2 Royal suites placed in front of vessel (50m2). All suites and cabins equipped with private bathrooms, hair dryer, private balcony, twin- size beds, TV, Telephone, air-conditioner and music.
Construction - Tonnage 1500 ton, Speed 12 knot, Electricity 110 V, 2 pools and one jacuzzi located at the roof top, 2 Restaurants, conference room for 148 pax seated, drugstore, fitness center, elevator, laundry, valet, paramedic, ballroom, internet access. Passengers check-in at Iberostar Office at 5:00 PM. Boarding, cabins accommodation, table reservations followed by Captain’s welcome drink and introduction of the crew, director and officials at the Ballroom Lua, followed by Safety drill at the Ballroom Lua. Ship departs at 9:00pm. Welcome dinner at the Restaurant Kuarup followed by live music and first contacts at the Ballroom Lua. (D)

Friday - Anavilhanas Archipelago |

Sunrise Lover’s breakfast at the top deck Sol or Breakfast at the Restaurant Kuarup. Morning lecture on Amazon’s botany and fauna at the Ballroom Lua. Disembarkation instructions at the top deck Sol is followed by a motorboat excursion through Anavilhanas Archipelago. Return to the ship and departure to Praia Grande. Barbecue at the top deck Sol. 2:30 PM arrival at Praia Grande, disembark and excursion and river bath at Praia Grande. Late afternoon optional trekking. Return to the ship and sail the Amazon. Sunset cocktail at the top deck Sol is followed by a lecture on Caymans and instructions for the evening excursion at Ballroom Lua. 7:30 to 9:00 PM motorboat excursion and cayman spotting. Optional Land trekking before returning to the ship. Lunch at the Restaurant Kuarup and afternoon lecture on Amazon’s fish at the Ballroom Lua. Afternoon Piranha fishing and photo safari. Sunset cocktail at the top deck Sol is followed by a lecture on Caymans and instructions for the evening excursion at Ballroom Lua. Evening alligator spotting excursion.
