Buenos Aires - CAT Travel’s Buenos Aires tours take you to this most European of South American cities. With long tree-lined avenues, museums and impressive architecture, the best way to experience the atmosphere of Buenos Aires is by exploring its distinct neighborhoods on foot. At once tumble down and ultra chic, with techno clubs and tango cafes sitting side by side with chic sushi bars and traditional parrillas, Buenos Aires is characterized by an exciting amalgamation of the old and the new.

Don’t miss…

San Telmo - San Telmo was originally home to the Italian immigrants of Buenos Aires, but in recent years it has been transformed into a vibrant cultural hub. A large market takes over the cobblestone streets of the neighborhood every Sunday. It is also the spiritual home of Tango and many café and street performances can be found in its narrow streets.

Recoleta – This neighborhood is home to the famous Recoleta Cemetery where many of Argentina’s most influential leaders have been laid to rest, including Evita Perón. The architecture and distinct shopping flare of the area give it a very European feel.

La Boca - Known for its brightly colored buildings and the famous Boca Stadium. This is where the infamous Argentine superstar Diego Maradona rose to fame and the area is fiercely proud of its football credentials.

Puerto Madero - One of the newest areas of Buenos Aires, Puerto Madero provides a slick location for some of the most stylish dining the city has to offer, as well as upscale nightclubs and waterfront bars.

Palermo - Palermo is home to some of the most fashionable boutiques and restaurants in Buenos Aires and is a hot-spot for nightclubs and bars. It’s a culturally rich area with many small galleries, live music venues and the beautiful parks of Palermo and Botanical Gardens.

The city center – The center of Buenos Aires consists of large avenues and plazas, and it is here that you will find some of the city’s most important buildings, including the Casa Rosada and the spectacular Theater Colon.
