Kuelap has to be one of my most favorite destinations in Peru for a wide number of reasons – the main reasons however, are its remoteness and the feeling of utter solace one experiences above its majestic walls. With plenty of ancient ruins, an absence of people, and a vivid jungle character – Kuelap has an alluring nature that makes it highly recommendable. The ruins are fascinating and are a must see for those wanting to experience something a little different. |

Chiclayo
Fly from Lima to Chiclayo. Transfer from airport to your comfortable hotel. After settling in you will take a full days tour of Chiclayo and surrounding area. You will see the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum, the pyramids of Tucume, the Sican Museum, and the Huaca Rajada. |

Chiclayo to Chachapoyas
After breakfast, private transport to Chachapoyas. Your vehicle will be air-conditioned and lunch is served on the way. Upon arrival in Chachapoyas you will be transferred to your comfortable hotel. |

Kuelap
Private transport to the cloud fortress of Kuelap. Drive takes 3 hours and upon arrival you will commence a guided tour of the site. Following tour you will return to Chachapoyas stopping for lunch on the way. |

Revash and Macro
In the morning you will undertake a tour of Macro, an outpost of Kuelap. In the afternoon you go on a tour to Revash. Pass through Santo Tomas on the way to the tombs. After a tour of the site you will return to you hotel in Chachapoyas. |

Leymebamba to Cajamarca
In the morning you will take a tour through the Leymebamba Mummy Museum. After tour transfer to Cajamarca along the Maranon Canyon - one of the most impressive drives in Peru. Upon arrival in Cajamarca transfer to your hotel. |

Cajarmarca
In the morning you will undertake a light trek around town followed by a tour of the Ventanillas de Otuzco - an old Inca bone graveyard. Following lunch you will go on a city tour. In the late afternoon enjoy a traditional coffee before returning to your hotel. |

Cajarmarca to Trujillo
Private transport to Trujillo in the morning. You will stop for a tour of Kunturwasi on the way. After tour continue to Trujillo where you will be transferred to your new hotel. |
