| The exclusive Manu Wildlife Center is located to the east of the Manu Bio reserve n the banks of the Madre de Dios River. The lodge is incredibly remote and the jungle surrounding the Center is virgin rainforest. The Lodge consists of 22 very comfortable fully screened bungalows. All have a private bathroom, with a bath and hot water. The Lodge is close to Manu's only macaw clay-lick that featured in National Geographic's January 1994 cover story and is also close to the world's best tapir viewing location. The Manu Wildlife Center has a fine bar available to its guests with hammocks for relaxing as well as an attractive dining area.

Weather
Manu has a wet season and a dry season. The dry season occasionally has cold fronts moving through so be sure to bring some warm clothes. During the wet season (November to April) temperatures fluctuate around 35°C during the day and 25ºC at night. The dry season (June to September) has similar temperatures although the unexpected cold fronts that push through from the south can drop temperatures to 18ºC during the day and 10ºC at night. |
